Thread: AdvrCntr6.dll is missing while installing Nero 11 platinum

I don’t believe that, definitely the download should contain this “AdvrCntr6.dll”. I doubt with your serial key, can you tell me how exactly you enter your serial key. Do you know that you can even copy past the serial key? Try it entering using the copy paste method.

Few question from my side in order to clear everything and get you a proper solution, did you bought the Nero 11 platinum from Nero online. And also let me know what installer you are executing.

Even I had the same issue, once I bought this Nero 11 platinum from nero online at the time when it was newly released. But then when I tried to install the software it always prompted me to get the AdvrCntr6 file. Unaware about the issue I tried reinstalling for some 10 times but then too I was getting the same error message.

Later on my friends suggested me to check out for this file in C: in the system. And then when searched I found this folder in the following path:

C:\Program Files\Common files

The most common thing that is recommended whenever your install a Nero software is to disable or turn off the antivirus and also firewall. For your kind information, this is the most recommended advice which is given to every Nero user.

The other thing you could be suggested is to try out some other download site, yeah please try to download the software from:
Nero.com > Products > v11 > download the trial version

Just install it using your product serial number, once if you are done with the installation you can get the full version. After this check out for the updates.

Try out the following trick, follow stepwise:

• First remove the all folders and files under below location: C:\Documents and Settings \<Username>\Local Settings\Temp
• Now go to the below location: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero
• Rename AdvrCntr4 to AdvrCntr4_2
• Reinstall the Nero on your system
• Now restart the system and see whether things are working properly

Instead of trying out certain things why not you get the missing files from somewhere, I mean you can even get the file from web or something. i am not sure with the information but heard that we can easily download the .dll files from internet easily.

Most probably I guess you can get this missing AdvrCntr6.dll file from the official Nero website itself or else from some other legal site, just consult any expert who is well aware about this dll file. Once you get this file downloaded your problem will be solved easily. But the preferable thing is to first try out all the other suggestion and only then go for what I said.

I personally believe that the advrcntr3.dll is present somewhere in your system itself, it cannot be missing. As everyone knows that once you download any software you get all the files related to the software that are necessary for the installation and also required for it to run. Must be your downloading was incomplete or improper, just delete everything and again download the software and install it.

For a safer side always keep a Nero General CleanTool Utility in order to keep your Nero software and apps safe from any infection or defection.

There is another solution which you can try out. I am not sure whether it will definitely work or not but yeah it should probably work if done correctly.

• Start
• Run
• Type Cmd
• In Cmd type the command as it is : regsvr32 advrcntr3.dll
• Press Enter

Once you are done with the things you will hopefully get a message saying that registered successfully later on after that you can reboot the system and then try the installation.
